I've just started a new role at a company based in the ICAD area and I'm trying to sort out all my usual car maintenance stuff locally rather than driving all the way back to Dubai where I used to live. I've got a 2017 S3 with the DSG gearbox that's just ticked over 75,000 kms and I know the transmission service is due because the previous owner had it done at around 40,000 kms and the car is telling me it's time again. The problem is I don't know the ICAD area at all and I'm a bit nervous about just picking a random garage from Google because I've heard so many stories about DSG services going wrong when they're not done properly. The thing that worries me most is that these gearboxes need a specific procedure with the correct temperature range for filling and they need the adaptations reset afterwards, and I'm not convinced every garage bothers with all that. I've been looking around for a place that does Certified Audi DSG transmission oil change near ICAD because it would be so convenient to get it done while I'm at work, but I haven't really found anything that stands out yet. I'm also a bit concerned about whether they use genuine fluid or aftermarket stuff, because I've read that the DSG boxes are really particular about the exact spec of oil they use. Has anyone on here actually had their DSG serviced at a garage in the ICAD area and been happy with the work? I don't mind paying a fair price for quality work, I just really want to avoid the situation where I have to take the car back multiple times because something wasn't done right the first time. Any recommendations would be massively appreciated because I'm honestly a bit lost with this one.
