Use Décor Without Overcrowding the Shelves

Once entertainment furniture is installed, it can be tempting to fill every shelf immediately.​

Usually, a more selective approach looks better.

Try combining objects of different heights and shapes. A few books can be paired with a small plant, decorative bowl, photograph, or sculpture. Leaving some empty space prevents shelves from looking cluttered.

You can also repeat certain materials or colors throughout the arrangement.

For example, similar frames, ceramic finishes, or metallic accents can make separate shelves feel connected.

Avoid blocking ventilation openings or placing decorative objects directly around electronics that produce heat.

Function should remain the priority even when styling the area.
